Donate Blood !!!
Tuesday, March 31, 2009, 4:01 PM

Woke up early to go donate blood with Min just now. We were back by 1pm just before the webinar. It was lucky i learnt something new from it, if not i'll tear my hair for forgoing movies and shopping for it. Opportunity cost is what accountants will call it :)

It's a nice experience to donate blood as blood donars have this shared experience so they tend to smile at each other just for acknowledgement. The nurses and admin personnel were also very friendly and they make you feel at home striking little cosy conversations with you. This time is the first time i got to use an ice pack due to the many movements of the needle to get the blood flowing. I'm not that concerned whether a bruise will appear but they do care! I didn't see them prick the needle not because i can't stand blood or fear of injections but because i can't stand the anticipation and suspense of how it would feel one the needle pricks your skin. THe suspense kills me! It's the same as going on a thrill ride - you never know when the machine will shoot up nor would you know how long you can hold on till it free-falls down a 10 storey height. Think i got that right :) The only thing i dislike is when the blood flows thru the tube attached to you wrist and you can feel the warmth of your own blood. Yucks. Makes me feel live is draining from me and that my blood is dirty! Dont't ask me why?! This is not to discourage non-blood donars!

Here's to urge non-blood donars : DONATE BLOOD NOW!

I feel neglected with all my friends busy with school and exams. Notice the word ALL? Even those not busy at school feels busy to me! I'm in need of a loooooong break but i can't afford one so maybe a throughly relaxing short trip! I need massage and spar and retail shopping!!!
